Projection Magecraft functions by analyzing the structural data of an object or Noble Phantasm and reconstructing it using the caster's own magical energy. The user must possess a deep theoretical understanding of the item's composition; without this knowledge, the projection fails or results in a useless replica. Visually, the process often manifests as glowing geometric patterns or a sudden materialization from light particles surrounding the user's hand. The created items are temporary constructs that dissipate once their mana supply is exhausted or after sustaining significant damage. While they can mimic the effects of legendary weapons, they rarely possess the full durability or spiritual weight of the originals. Notable users include Shirou Emiya, who utilizes this to wield swords like Excalibur and Caladbolg, though at a great cost to his own body due to insufficient mana reserves. Rin Tohsaka also demonstrates limited projection capabilities, primarily focusing on sealing talismans and defensive barriers rather than full weapon replication.
